MVFD Member Hired by FDNY

Wednesday, January 24, 2007 – Congratulations to MVFD member Jim Murray Jr. on his recent graduation of FDNY “probie school”.  After an agonizing wait and excelling through a difficult selection process, Jim was hired by the Fire Department of the City of New York last year.  Recently, Jim did extremely well in his class of FDNY recruits.  Jim is now stationed on an engine company in the Borough of Manhattan.  Apparently firefighting in New York runs in the family for Jim as his father, also an MVFD member, is a retired member of the FDNY.  Jim joins many once-members of the MVFD who have gone on to careers on fire departments all around the country.  All of us on the MVFD wish Jim the best of luck with his new career!

INSPECTION PREPARATION
